Aileen Bache

Aileen received her Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Calgary, where she studied under Jacob Salomons and had the privilege of playing in master classes with a number of internationally known guitarists including, Oscar Ghiglia, Benjamin Verdery, Sharon Isbin, Scott Tennant and David Russell.
These experiences deepened her love not only for the guitar, but for its music, and led to further studies in Memphis, TN with Lily Afshar, to festivals in Seattle, Vancouver and Montreal, including two competitions in which she placed as semi-finalist and then to Iserlohn, Germany with Dale Kavanagh and Thomas Kirchhoff.
During this time she opened The Calgary School of Classical Guitar, worked as artistic director for The Classical Guitar Society of Calgary, as well as performing for corporate events and such.
After twenty years in these capacities, Aillen will now turn her focus to developing a new business, Alba Artists Management and pursuing a more active performing career.
